was filled with vitality and at the same time moved
away from the need to present (which was well
achieved by photography), it began to represent, to

and looking to the future.
Through constant experimentation, each of the
“isms” seeks new forms of expression, new media
and newplatforms. Art becomes autonomous, a real
laboratory of experimentation of essence and form,
of continents and content, of the role of the artist,
the public, the distribution channels and the forms
of consumption. Scandal, manifestos and the need
to destroy what had gone before converted the
avante garde movements into a constant succes-
sion of struggles and disqualifications to eventual-
ly be completely absorbed by the system, or rather
by the art market. Agitated imbalance as a form of
development, which has provided us with an

de la necesidad de presentar (que muy bien lograba la
fotografía) se abocaba a representar, a presentarse
como un arte de avanzada, arte moderno, olvidando
el pasado y mirando hacia el futuro. Todos y cada uno
de los “ismos” buscan mediante la experimentación
constante nuevas formas expresivas, nuevos medios,
nuevos abordajes. El arte se hace autónomo, un ver-
dadero laboratorio de experimentación del fondo y la
forma, del continente y del contenido, del papel del
artista, del público, de los canales de distribución, de
las formas de consumo. El escándalo, los manifiestos,
y la necesidad de destruir lo anterior convirtieron a
los movimientos de vanguardia en una sucesión
constante de luchas y descalificaciones, para al final
quedar perfectamente absorbida por el sistema, por
el mercado del arte. El agitado desequilibrio como
forma de desarrollo -que nos ha dado una inmensa
