iajar a grandes velocidades es uno de los más
anhelados deseos del ser humano, a quien la
naturaleza le negó la posibilidad de alcanzar-
las por sí mismo, y no obstante, utiliza su ingenio para
lograrlo. Este reto fue asumido por las firmas automo-
trices más prestigiadas del mundo, las cuales se han
encargado de producir los automóviles no sólo más
lujosos, sino también los más rápidos.
A partir de esto, se ha dado lugar una contienda
entre las compañías por ser el más veloz en el camino.
Y con cada nuevo y emocionante lanzamiento de uno
de estos bólidos sobre ruedas, se anuncia otro que
amenaza con desbancarlo, de ahí la emoción por parte
de los entusiastas automotrices cuando se da a cono-
cer a un coche concepto.
Citroën busca incursionar en uno de los rubros
más promisorios en términos de tecnología sustenta-
ble para el futuro: el de los autos eléctricos, y lo hace
de manera espectacular con el Citroën Survolt, que
sigue los pasos de su predecesor, el Revolt, pero in-
corpora la combinación de conciencia ambiental y una
velocidad tope de 260 kilómetros por hora.
De la misma manera, Shelby Super Cars anuncia el
Tuatara, el primero de una nueva generación de super
coches, que hereda y amplía las capacidades de Ulti-
mate Aero, y que busca además, como un reto implí-
cito, desbancar al Bugatti Veyron Super Sport como el
auto más rápido del planeta.
Finalmente, el Koenigsegg Agera R, perteneciente
a la casa sueca del mismo nombre, es el sucesor del
Agera, otro imponente auto deportivo, y que tiene en
mente no ser el más rápido, sino el que alcance la ma-
yor velocidad en el menor tiempo.

ture has denied the possibility of achieving

tigious automotive companies in the world, which
have been commissioned to produce not only the
more luxurious cars, but also the fastest.
From this, a race between the companies for
being the fastest on the road has resulted. And
with each new and exciting launch of one of these
marvels on wheels, a new car gets announced that
threatens to unseat it, hence the excitement of
automobile enthusiasts when a new concept car
is unveiled.
Citroën is looking to venture into one of themost
promising areas in terms of sustainable technology
for the future: electric cars, and does it so dramati-
callywith the CitroënSurvolt, which follows the foot-
steps of his predecessor, the Revolt, but incorporates
a combination of both environmental awareness and
a top speed of 260 kilometers per hour.
Similarly, Shelby Super Cars announces the
Tuatara, the first of a new generation of super cars,
which inherits and extends the capabilities of Ul-
timate Aero, and looking also as an implicit chal-
lenge: unseat the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport as
fastest car on the planet.

Agera, another impressive sports car, and that has the
goal of not being the fastest, but to reach the highest
speed in the shortest time.
