And not only is it the drink, it's the horsemans-
hip culture, the mariachi, the Mexican snacks, all
of this is part of the culture of tequila, which to
obtain that name, must be created in Mexico and
have at least 51% sugars originated from agaves.
It's about a very versatile drink that can be
drank in the famous shots, along with salt and
lemon on the side and with an extensive range
of cocktails, whether there are in a martini cup
or in opened champagne. One way or another,
depending on the occasion, this can lead us to
live amusing moments.
Tequila's Cradle
The name tequila is a denomination of con-
trolled origin which includes the agaves distill
made specifically in regions of Mexico, in the
locations of Tequila and Amatitán, besides of all
the Jalisco municipalities and also some from
Guanajuato, Michoacán, Guanajuato, Tamaulipas
and Nayarit.
The origin of this distill is found in the city
of Tequila, in the state of Jalisco, and one of its
legends tell that Huexicar protected a women
which with mescal she would cure diseases, for
it's considered that it was her who discovered
the mescal drink known as tequila. This
woman, whose name is unknown, was referred
to as Mayahuel.
It's worth mentioning that recent founding's
in the El Caballito Cerrero ranch, point that the
municipal of Amatitan in Jalisco is the tequila's
place of birth since they found there an opened sky
factory, surrounded by fermentation tubs, ovens
and mills where the distill was produced.

l tequila es la bebida más conocida y represen-
tativa de México, si en Europa tienen el vino y
en Rusia el vodka, este destilado es el repre-
sentante cien por ciento mexicano ante el mundo.
Y no sólo es la bebida, lo es la charrería, el maria-
chi, los antojitos mexicanos, todo esto es parte de la
cultura del tequila, que para recibir ese nombre, debe
estar elaborado en México y contener por lo menos
un 51% de azúcares provenientes del agave.
Se trata de una bebida muy versátil que puede
ser tomada en los famosos shots, acompañándola
con chupitos de sal y limón hasta una extensa
gama de cocteles, ya sea en copa tipo martini o de
champaña abierta. Ya sea de una forma o de otra,
dependiendo de la ocasión, ésta nos puede ayudar
a pasar momentos divertidos.
La cuna del tequila
El nombre tequila es una denominación de origen
controlado que designa el destilado de agave elabo-
rado en regiones determinadas de México, en las
inmediaciones de las localidades de Tequila y
Amatitán, además de todos los municipios de Jalisco
y también algunos de Guanajuato, Michoacán,
Guanajuato, Tamaulipas y Nayarit.
El origen de este destilado se encuentra en la
ciudad de Tequila, en el estado de Jalisco, y cuenta
una de sus leyendas que Huexicar protegía a una
mujer que con mezcal curaba enfermedades, por lo
que se considera que fue ella quien descubrió la
bebida de mezcal conocida como tequila. Esta mujer,
de quien no se le conoce el nombre, la empezaron a
conocer como Mayahuel.
Cabe destacar que recientes hallazgos en el ran-
cho El Caballito Cerrero, refieren que el municipio de
Amatitán, en Jalisco, es la cuna del tequila ya que ahí
se encontraron una fábrica a cielo abierto, rodeada
de tinas de fermentación, hornos y molinos donde
se producía el destilado.
