onstruido sobre la plataforma de la Nueva Clase E,
este hermoso coupé deportivo es el reemplazo
del antiguo CLK y se distingue por su mayor tec-
nología, lujo y equipamiento, pero en especial por su
dinámico y fulminante desempeño, que hacen de su
manejo toda una delicia para los sentidos.
De líneas muy estilizadas y deportivas, el nuevo
Coupé prescinde del pilar B y de los marcos de las cuatro
ventanillas, con un techo que desciende hacia la parte
posterior que le brindan un look muy agresivo e impo-
nente, con un coeficiente aerodinámico de 0,24 Cx. En la
actualidad, no hay ninguno en serie con un Cx más bajo.
El Mercedes Clase E Coupé acentúa su aspecto depor-
tivo, remarcando aún más las aletas traseras, herencia
del Mercedes S 220 Ponton Coupé de 1955.
La cabina es más amplia y confortable en compara-
ción con la del CLK, gracias a que es cinco cms más largo
y ancho que éste, alrededor de dos más bajo y su distan-
cia entre ejes ronda los 2,76 mts, lo que ha permitido
ofrecer más espacio a los cuatro pasajeros, con nuevos
asientos deportivos tapizados en fino cuero.
Innovaciones tecnológicas
Entre las innovaciones técnicas destacan la suspen-
sión variable Agility Control, que permite ajustar en dos
modos, normal y deportivo. La dureza de la suspensión,
la respuesta del acelerador y las cajas de cambio automá-
ticas; así como el sistema
Attention Assist
, que controla
el estado de atención del conductor examinando más de
70 parámetros del rostro de la persona al volante.
El nuevo Clase E Coupé presenta cinco motores, dos a
diesel y tres de gasolina. Todos ellos bajo la denomina-
ción de BlueEFFICIENCY excepto el más alto de la gama, el
E 500 Coupé, con 388 Hp.
El nuevo E 350 BlueEFFICIENCY, con inyección directa
de gasolina, se basa en la moderna tecnología de motores
V6 de Mercedes. El propulsor entrega 292 Hp y un par
motor de 365 Nm, que le permite acelerar en sólo 6,3
segundos de 0 a 100 km/h.
Incorpora un V8 de 388 Hp y 530 Nm de par motor,
que catapultan al auto a hacer el 0 a 00 km/h en tan sólo
5,4 segundos. Ambas mecánicas están acopladas a un
cambio automático 7G-TRONIC.

beautiful sports coupe is the replacement of
the old CLK and it stands out for its higher
technology, luxury and equipment, but specially
for its dynamic and astounding performance,
making its driving delightful for al senses.
With very stylish and sportive lines, the new
Coupe doesn’t have the B pillar and the frames for all
four windows, with a ceiling coming down to the rear
end giving the car a very aggressive and imposing
look, with a aerodynamic coefficient of 0.24 Cx. There
isn’t another car in series with a lower Cx these days.
TheMercedes E Class Coupe boosts its sportive look,
bye remarking the rear flaps evenmore, a heritage from
theMercedesS220PontonCoupefrom1955.
The cockpit is wider and more comfortable in
comparison with the CLK, thanks to the extra 5cm in
length andwith, it is also 2cm lower and the axis dis-
tance is around 2,76 mts, offering this way more
space to the four passengers, with new sport seats
covered in fine leather.
Technological Innovations
Amongst these technical innovations some
stand out like the Agility Control Suspension that
allows a normal or a sport mode. The suspension’s
firmness, the accelerator’s response and the auto-
matic shifters; as well as the Attention Assist sys-
tem, that controls the driver’s state of attention by
checking more than 70 different parameters in the
face of the person behind the wheel.
The new E class Coupe presents 5 engine types, 2
diesel and 3 gasoline. All of them under the
BlueEFFICIENCYdenominationexcept the E500Coupe,
with388hp being the biggest in the series.
The new E 350 BlueEFFICIENCY, with direct fuel
injection, is basedon themodernMercedesV6 engine
technology. The propellant delivers 292 hp allowing
an acceleration of 6.3 seconds from0 to 100 km/h.
