• La gente de Polonia es amigable, y los visitantes ge-
neralmente son bien recibidos. El saludo de mano es
común. Si se visita la casa de alguien, es costumbre
llevar flores, preferentemente en números impares.
La religión católica forma parte de la vida diaria de
los polacos, por lo que las críticas o bromas religiosas
no son bien vistas.
• El transporte a través de Polonia puede ser en tren o
por autopistas, mediante autobuses, renta de autos
o, dentro de las ciudades, taxis. La red de trenes In-
terCity cuenta con rutas que van a las ciudades más
importantes del país, y ofrece un servicio barato y
eficiente. El tránsito circula a la derecha, y se utilizan
señalizaciones internacionales. Las gasolineras que
se ubican en los caminos generalmente están abier-
tas las 24 horas del día.
• Aunque la tarifa de hoteles en Polonia no es barata,
la comida sí lo es. Esto dará la oportunidad al viaje-
ro de probar una parte importante de las especiali-
dades de la comida polaca, que según expertos, es
considerada una de las mejores del mundo. Hay que
tener en cuenta la importancia de la comida para los
polacos y, especialmente, lo abundantes que pue-
den llegar a ser sus platillos.
• Además de ofrecer museos, lugares históricos y
otros sitios de interés, Polonia cuenta con una vida
nocturna, principalmente en la capital, es diversa y
hay opciones para todos los gustos. Se puede acudir
a bailar al lugar de moda, o bien relajarse en un aco-
gedor pub.

gion forms an important part of the daily life of

about it lightly.
• Moving across Poland can be done either by train
rails or on highways by way of buses, car rentals
or, inside the cities, taxis. The InterCity network
of trains features routes that reach all major met-
ropolitan areas, and the service is efficient and
affordable. Transit circulates on the right side of
the road, and international signals are used to
aid motorist. Gas stations are generally open 24
hours a day.
• Although hotel fares are steep, the food in Poland
is not. This will give travellers the opportunity
to taste and important part of the Polish cuisine
which, according to experts, is considered one of
the finest of the world. One must consider that
the Polish people place a high-regard on food, es-
pecially when it comes to the size of meals.
• As well as offering museums, historical sites and
other places of interests, Poland also features
a vibrant nightlife, mainly in the capital, which
is diverse and thus provides many an option for
travellers. These can range from fashionable
nightclubs to homely pubs.
