Los Cabos reciben al torneo
Buenavista 2012
L
a temporada 2012 de torneos de pesca de-
portiva arrancó el mes de julio en Buenavista,
Los Cabos, Baja California Sur. Del día 24 al 28,
compitieron 61 embarcaciones en la XIII Edición del
Torneo de Pesca “Bisbee´s Buenavista 2012” por una
bolsa de 457 mil 200 dólares.
El torneo Bisbee’s se compone de tres justas.
La primera es “Buenavista Bisbee’s” (East Cape
Offshore), realizada en el corredor turístico co-
nocido como Cabo del Este. Ahí el premio para el
ganador rebasó los 300 mil dólares, logrando así
colocarse en las grandes ligas de los torneos de
pesca. Wayne Bisbee, director del torneo, comentó
que con el apoyo de la nueva marina de Cabo Rivie-
ra, en un futuro se romperá la marca del millón de
dólares en premios.
Al iniciar la competencia Clicerio Mercado, coor-
dinador del torneo, notificó las tres especies a tomar
en cuenta: Marlín Azul y Negro, con un peso mínimo
de 300 libras; Dorado (30 libras) y Atún (40 libras);
agregó que a la par del evento se prepara el Torneo
de Pesca “Bisbee´s Black & Blue 2012”, a realizarse el
23 de octubre de este año en el municipio de Cabo
San Lucas.
En esta ocasión el Marlín capturado no llegó al
peso mínimo, pero en las otras categorías hubo re-
sultados sin precedentes: en total se pescaron 94
ejemplares durante los tres días de competencia, para
llegar a un total de 48 anzuélalos; 30 Azules, un Ne-
gro y 15 Pez Vela. El porcentaje de liberación de piezas
