Con fecha de lanzamiento en noviembre del 2013,
este 14to “capítulo” del English Whisky Company
ha sido recibido con palmas de oro. Añejado por al
menos cinco años en barricas que contenían bou-
rbon, este hermano del antiguo capítulo 15, mar-
ca otro sueño dentro de la destilería. El English
Whisky Co. Chapter 14 encapsula el olor de un
pastelillo danés; afrutado por lychees y pasas
empapadas en ron, azúcar Demarará y mandari-
nas. La boca se ve envuelta por un sabor bañado
en frutas como el plátano y otros tonos ligeros,
notas de
crème brûlée
y un pequeño toque de
brandy que calienta el alcohol y nos deja con un
final seco.

Este single malt taiwanés proviene de una casa
que abrió sus puertas en el 2005. Pese a su tierna
edad, la fábrica ya se ha hecho renombre en el uni-
verso del whisky creando un producto lleno magia,
cuyas notas se concentran en su ya distintivo sa-
bor que consta de frutas tropicales. Con un color
apasionante y vivaz, el Kavalan Single Malt deve-
la un elegante y sobrio olor floral, mismo que nos
deja trazos de la afrutada y seductora orquídea,
con matices de miel, mango, vainilla, coco y suge-
rencias de chocolate. En la paleta encontramos un
gusto relajado a mango con una especiada comple-
jidad y un calor mediano, con un final cítrico. Le-
jos de los galardones y reconocimientos que este
whisky ha conseguido, la palabra de boca en boca
es lo que le ha dado su esplendor.

Best international whiskey
This Taiwanese single malt is the product of a
firm that opened it’s doors in 2005. Despite it’s
tender age, the firm has already made a name for
itself in the whiskey universe by creating a mag-
ical product, whose notes are concentrated in
it’s now distinctive tropical flavors. Possessing
a vivacious and passionate color, the Kavalan
Single Malt unveils an elegant and sober floral
aroma which leaves traces of sweet and seduc-
tive orchid, with tones of honey, mango, vanilla,
coconut, and chocolate. The palate will discover
a relaxed mango flavor blended with a spicy
complexity and medium heat, with a citrus fin-
ish. Far away from the pomp and circumstance
that this whiskey has earned, a mouth-to-mouth
reputation is what makes it splendor.

Company was welcomed with a golden lau-
rel crown when it was released in November,
2013. Aged for at least 5 years in barrels that
once aged bourbon, this brother of the elder
15th chapter is another dream come true for
the firm. The English Whisky Co. Chapter 14
encapsulates the flavor of a Danish pastry:
sweetened by lychees and raisins soaked in
rum, Demarara sugar, and tangerines. The
palate is awash in fruity flavors, with hints of
banana and other light fruits; notes of crème
brulee and a touch of brandy that warms the
alcohol, and leaves us with a dry finish.
