This beautiful

island is close to the Yucatan Peninsula and it’s located nearly 10 Km from Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico; it’s perfect to blend in with natu-

re and experience the thrilling practice of snorkeling. In it, we find Mayan ruins and a sanctuary of marine turtles, as well as incomparable

beaches full of Caribbean beauty. According to the locals, this island was blessed by Goddess Ixchel, who for the Mayans represents the

deity of love, the moon and fertility. A visit to the Monchones reef is an experience that any lover of this sport must do, to snorkel in this

latitude is a visit that you cannot miss.

This complex is quite unique; a private aquarium, a reef full of several sea species and

one of the most complete and promising snorkeling experiences in Jamaica. It’s stone structure over cliffs is imprecise, but it’s the subaquatic

sceneries of Rockhouse that turn it into a window to the underwater world where peace and relaxation reign. The beaches that surround it offer a

gastronomic exquisite variety, as well as the inspiring and unique sights portrayed by Negril.
