n el marco del Segundo Salón de Alta Re-
lojería se presentaron algunas de las más
prestigiadas marcas de relojes que existen
alrededor del mundo, quienes exhibieron sus más
recientes creaciones.
El evento fue inaugurado por el embajador de
Suiza en México, Urs Breiter, y Carlos Alonso, director
organizador del Salón, quienes fueron los primeros en
visitar las suites de cada casa relojera.
Durante el evento hubo interesantes conferencias,
entre otras destacaron la dada por Vincent Calibrese,
sobre Carroussel vs. Tourbillon, o la denominada “En-
cuentro de dos genios de la Alta Relojería”, con Octavio
García y Guilio Papi, así como las entrevistas uno a uno
con cualquiera de los ponentes.
Al evento sedieron cita losmás grandes coleccionistas
deMéxico y Latinoamérica, pero no solamente colecciona-
dores de relojes sino auténticos coleccionistas de arte.
Este es el segundo año consecutivo en que se lleva a
cabo este evento, el cual ha sido muy concurrido, donde
no sólo se exhiben los productos sino también se realiza
la venta de los mismos. El evento ha ido creciendo en
presencia de compradores y conocedores del mercado,
así como medios de comunicación especializados.
El segundo Salón de Alta Relojería culminó con un
desfile de MontBlanc, donde presentó su nueva cole-
cción de alta joyería, nunca antes traída a México, una
cena de gala y la premiación del mejor reloj del año:
“Vacheron Constantin Quai de L’ile Day Date Power Re-
verse”, presentado en este salón.

the world were presented, exhibiting some
of their most recent creations.
This event was opened by the Switzerland am-
bassador in Mexico, Urs Breiter, and Carlos Alonso,
organizer of the event; they were the first ones to
visit the suites of every watchmaker.
During the event, interesting conferences took
place, like the one given by Vincent Calibrese about
Carrousel Vs Tourbillion, or the one denominated as
“The encounter of two Haute Holorgerie geniuses”,
with Octavio Garcia and Guilio Papi, as well as the
one on one interviews with any of them.
On this event, some of the biggest collectors
from Mexico and Latin America were present, not
only watch collectors, but authentic art collectors.
This is the second year in a row that this
event takes place, and has been much visited,
where not only the products are exhibited, but
also sold. This event has been growing in the
matter of buyers and connoisseurs of the market,
as well as specialized media.
The event concluded with a Mont Blanc pa-
rade, where its new Fine Jewelry collection was
presented and never before seen in Mexico, and a
gala dinner where the award to the watch of the
year was presented. The winner: “Vacheron Con-
stantin Quai de L’ile Day Date Power Reverse”, was
presented on this salon.
