• Anchorage is a city of the US, State of Alaska.
Its currency, as in all of the US territory, is the
American dollar; so it is advisable to have the
currency exchange done in Mexico.
• In order to visit Anchorage, it is required to have
a valid American visa and passport for three
months. If your stay exceeds the three months,
it is required to get another type of visa pro-
cessed in order to avoid having problems when
staying in Alaska.
• As for the rest of the American cities, Anchorage
has great flexibility in their restaurants’ meal
schedules. The lunch (or dinner) time runs from12
to 15 hours and the dinner (or supper) time from
18 to 24 hours. An average of open business hours
for catering places runs from9 to 22 hours.
• Usually, the climate in Anchorage has low tem-
peratures. Nevertheless, it is comparable with
the one that youmay experience in cities like San
Francisco; and in the summertime, the weather
gets especially benign to do outdoors activities.
Between the spring and summer seasons, there
are in record less precipitations, and during the
fall and winter season, one can admire the most
spectacular landscapes, blankets of snow and ice
formations displayed.

Alaska, Estados Unidos, su moneda, como en todo el
territorio estadounidense es el dólar, por loque el cam-
bio de divisas se recomienda hacerlo dentro deMéxico.
• Para viajar a esta ciudad como turista, es necesario
contar con Visa estadounidense y pasaporte vigen-
tes, con al menos tres meses de antigüedad. Si su
estancia excede los tres meses, es necesario trami-
tar otro tipo de Visa para evitar complicaciones al
quedarse en Alaska.
• Como el resto de las ciudades estadounidenses,
Anchorage tiene gran flexibilidad en el itinerario de
sus restaurantes, con un horario de comida entre
las 12:00 y 15:00 hrs, y de cena de entre 18:00 y
24:00 hrs. La apertura promedio de los locales es de
las 9:00 a las 22:00 hrs.
• El clima de Anchorage es regularmente de tempe-
raturas bajas; sin embargo, es comparable al que
se vive en ciudades como San Francisco, y durante
el verano el clima se vuelve especialmente benéfi-
co para realizar actividades al aire libre. Entre las
estaciones de primavera y verano es cuando se re-
gistran menos precipitaciones y durante el otoño
y el invierno se pueden admirar los paisajes más
espectaculares, sobre las capas y formas de hielo
que se presentan.
