escenario. Ése es El Tamarindo.
Este asombroso campo de golf de 18 hoyos de
tipo campeonato se encuentra dentro de una reserva
natural de 825 hectáreas, que lo convierte en uno de
los escenarios más espectaculares de todo el mundo,
bajo el cántico de cientos de aves.
Los fairways están delineados con diversas espe-
cies de palmeras que, además de adornar el lugar, con
su suave vaivén indican la dirección del viento antes
de cada stroke. Por si fuera poco, las vistas desde los
hoyos, esculpidos en las rocas, están enmarcadas por
la línea costera que bordea las aguas azul cristal del
océano Pacífico. Los diseñadores no desaprovecharon
el lugar, y por ello ocho hoyos tienen vista al mar.
El campo es par 72, con la comodidad de 6,750
yardas, lo que permite observar la belleza de la zona
entre golpe y golpe. El Tamarindo está trazado para
jugarse cómodamente por los jugadores de todos los
niveles, al contar con varios tees de salida, y a la vez
ofrece numerosos retos para golfistas más experi-
mentados, quienes deben considerar los constantes
cambios del viento.
Como dato, el hoyo más largo es el 11, par 5 de
547 yardas, mientras que el más corto es el 4, un par
3 de 127 yardas, donde hay grandes posibilidades de
anotarse un birdie.

on which you can’t but help admiring the scenery
between every drive. This is El Tamarindo.
This amazing championship-standard 18-hole golf
course is located within a 825-hectare nature reserve,
whichmakes it one of themost spectacular sights in the
world, accompanied by the song of hundreds of birds.
The fairways are lined with various species of palm
trees, which besides decorating the course with their
soft too-ing and fro-ing, indicate the direction of the
windbefore eachdrive. If thatweren't enough, theviews
from the holes, sculptured in the rocks, are framed by
the coastline that borders the crystal blue waters of the
Pacific Ocean. The designers took full advantage of the
location, thus giving eight holes sea views.
The course is par 72, with a total of 6,750 yards,
which allows golfers to enjoy the beauty of the area
between drives. El Tamarindo has been planned to be
played comfortably by golfers of all levels by offering
various drive off tees, while the same time offering
various challenges for more experienced golfers, who
must take into account the constant wind changes.
For information, the longest hole is the 11th,
which is a par 5 of 547 yards in length, whereas the
shortest is the 4th, of par 3 of 127 yards in length,
which offers highs possibilities of scoring a birdie.
The El Tamarindo course, located in Costalegre,
