goals to 9 in the final of the Agua Alta Scappino
Cup. Brothers Pancho and Valerio Aguilar, with-
out doubt, the most outstanding polo players in the
world after the Gracida brothers played the best polo of
the week and deserved to win. Their German “team
mates”, in particular, Bolko Kisslingwith a 0 goal hand-
icap, made a significant contribution. Only very occa-
sionally does a 0 handicapper score an average of 2
goals per match. In the words of Alberto Ardissone, the
level of the game was “at the level of Sotogrande” and

All the matches were very competitive and there were
three draws in six days of matches.
Alberto Ardissone’s efforts to get eight teams of

The Peruvian, Guillermo “Chino” Li, the best play-
er in his country and current professional at the Club
Costa Careyes, also shone. This year, he competed in
the Agua Alta Scappino team; finishing however in
fourth place in the Cup of the same name.
Without a doubt it was the most international
tournament of the year both on the field and in the
stands. Players from eleven different countries took
part. The Chilean Juan E. Jaramillo played in the final
on the Mexico BE! Team and with a great game of his

Copa Agua Alta Scappino. Los hermanos
Pancho y Valerio Aguilar, sin duda los más destaca-
dos en el mundo del polo después de los Gracida,
jugaron el mejor polo de la semana y merecían triun-
far. Sus “team mates” de Alemania, en particular
Bolko Kissling de 0 goles de handicap, contribuyeron
bastante. Pocas veces un 0 handicapper está mar-
cando un promedio de dos goles por partido. En
palabras de Alberto Ardissone, el juego estaba “al
nivel de Sotogrande” y el nivel de las fiestas “al
del carnaval de Río”. Todos los partidos fueron muy
competitivos, hubo tres empates en seis días
de juego.
Los esfuerzos de Alberto Ardissone en juntar
ocho equipos de este nivel se demostraron con la
presencia de cinco profesionales de Argentina. Entre
ellos se destacó Andrea Vianini, de siete goles de
handicap, en ganar la Copa Scappino Pininfarina con
el equipo Guadalajara Maestro Tequilero. Además
Vianini actualmente se encuentra en Inglaterra
jugando polo con los príncipes William y Harry.

Li, el
mejor jugador de su país y actual profesional de Club
Costa Careyes. Este año compitió en el equipo de
Agua Alta Scappino, sin embargo terminó en cuarto
lugar en la Copa del mismo nombre.
Sin lugar a duda fue el torneo más internacional
del año en la cancha y tribuna. Llegaron jugadores de
