Tips
• Perú enfrenta problemas de inseguridad en zonas
muy específicas. Siempre se debe tener a la vista las
pertenencias que se lleven al viaje.
• Al momento de elegir el equipaje, hay que tomar en
cuenta que en la región del Amazonas, en específico la
que cruza a través de Iquitos, se da un clima sub-
tropical con lluvias abundantes. La temporada de
lluvias se da en el periodo de noviembre a abril,
mientras que la época seca es demayo a septiembre.
• Es preferible usar botas o tenis todo el tiempo du-
rante los recorridos. Asimismo, es importante beber
agua copiosamente al menos en el tiempo que se
esté en el bosque. También se debe tener a la mano
un cambio de ropa, pues las lluvias son impredecibles.
• Si se va a viajar a la jungla peruana, es necesario
inocularse contra la fiebre amarilla con 10 días de
anticipación previos a la visita.
• Los insectos son la compañia del día, por lo que no
hay que olvidar empacar el repelente.

• When it comes to choosing your luggage, keep
in mind that in the Amazon region, specifically
in the Iquitos area, climate is subtropical and
with profuse rainfall. Rainy season normally
happens fromNovember to April, while dry season
lasts fromMay to September.
• Boots or sneakers are the best choice to wear at all
times during the tours. While visiting any forest it
is also very important to drinkwater plentifully. As
rains are unpredictable, having a change of clothes
inhand is really useful.
• If you are traveling to the Peruvian jungle, it is
strongly advised to get inoculated against yellow
fever with at least a 10 day notice prior to the visit.
• Insects are an everyday companion in Perú, so do
not forget to pack an insect repellent.
