As a plastic artist, Oropeza has always been
highly preoccupied with art, and with the signifi-
cance it has on our present time, including the defi-
nition of a work of art, taking as a response that art
is merely that which produces an aesthetic experi-
ence, that which converses with the spectator and
wich swells the soul.
In his works, there exists various phases where
the principal element is the insinuated human figure,
whetheritbebyastrokeorshadow,thefigureisalways
present. Paradise offers the spectator the possibility to
lose himself and enjoy, to distance himself from the
world in order to approachpleasure and happiness.
This exposition is, without a doubt, a reflection of
thematurity that canbe found in the artistic creations
of Alejandro Gomez Oropeza, making it impossible for
one not to assist. In the words of the artist himself at
the endof this collection: “Find, or seekyour paradise, I
give to you some ofmine… I offer you Paradise”
Como creador plástico, Gómez Oropeza siempre
se ha preocupado mucho por el arte y por el significado
que este tiene en la actualidad, incluso en la definición
de la obra de arte, tomando como respuesta que arte
sólo es que aquél que produce una experiencia en los
sentidos, es aquél que dialoga con el espectador y le
enaltece el espíritu.
En las obras hay varias etapas donde el elemento
principal es la figura humana insinuada, ya sea por
un trazo o una sombra, pero siempre está ahí. Paraíso
otorgará al espectador la posibilidad de perderse y
disfrutar, de alejarse del mundo para acercarse al placer
y a la felicidad.
Esta exposición es sin duda un reflejo de madurez
en la creación artística de Alejandro Gómez Oropeza,
haciendo así imposible dejar de asistir. En palabras del
propio artísta al terminar esta colección:
