Buchanan’s Red Seal es un whisky que se
planeó por los expertos desde hace cinco años,
sin embargo, por la complejidad y calidad de su
producto, hasta ahora se presenta al público.
Gracias al fino proceso que logra un balance
perfecto entre las maltas de Dalwhinnie y Manno-
chmore, esta bebida tiene una especial textura y
suavidad a las que acompaña un sabor afrutado.
Los barriles que se seleccionaron para el proceso de
maduración son de roble americano. Estos, en una
primera instancia fueron ahumados para extraer
más sulfuros de la malta y fueron incendiados por
dentro para crear una capa de carbón que extrajera
las impurezas del whisky. Finalmente, tras los
cuidados de este proceso, se obtiene el acabado
perfecto de sabor y consistencia que se buscaba:
un licor ligeramente dulce en tonos ámbar con
aromas a caramelo, coco y nuez.
El segundo proceso de maduración, al requerir
más tiempo en su elaboración, permite que el
whisky se suavice, desarrolle sabores a chocolate
y vainilla, y repose el tiempo necesario para su
embotellamiento.
La calidad del whisky está garantizada por el cuida-
do y seguimiento riguroso que lleva su proceso de
elaboración, así como por el perfecto equilibrio
que logró alcanzar su sabor entre los whiskies
más añejos y los más jóvenes.
Buchanan´s Red Seal es una bebida que repre-
senta un lujo para el paladar, pues ya sea en las
rocas o combinado con alguna bebida se aprecia su
sabor, su consistencia y sus aromas. Igualmente,
si se combina con una cena ligera produce una

new whisky, “Buchanan’s Red Seal” to the Latin
Americanmarket as a soft experience for the senses.
The Buchanan’s Red Seal was conceptualized
by seasoned experts at Buchanan’s five years ago.
However, because of the complexity of the blend,
and the quality that was expected of the product,
the label decided to introduce it into the market.
Thanks to the fine process behind its creation
that renders a perfect balance between the Dalwhinnie
and Mannochromore malts, this beverage have a
special texture and softness that is accompanied by
hints of fruit flavors.
Thebarrels selected for the agingof thewhisky are
made from American oak. These were first smoked
in order to extract more sulphides from the malt,
andwere then ignited fromthe inside to create a car-
bon layer to extract impurities that could surface
when developing the whisky. Once this process
is completed, the perfect flavor and consistency are
achieved: a lightly sweet liquor with amber tones
and caramel, coconut and nut scents.
The second aging process, which is more elabo-
rate than the first and is thus more time consuming,
allows thewhisky develop a softer texture; for choco-
late and vanilla flavors to become more prominent,
and for it to rest before it is finally ready to be bottled.
The quality of of the whisky is guaranteed by
the rigorous elaboration, and also for the perfect
balance that is flavor achieves once the elaboration
process is complete, a flavor that can be described
as one that can be found between those of the most
mature whiskeys and younger counterparts.
