Hace cerca de 2000 años la zona oriental del con-
tinente acogió flujos masivos de humanos provenien-
tes del Occidente, sobre todo granjeros de los pueblos
Bantú, que hacían uso de herramientas y armas en gran
medida más avanzadas que los cazadores-recolectores
asentados en ese territorio. En un breve lapso de tiempo
devinieron como el grupo etno-lingüístico más grande
en la región, a la cual también pertenece el pueblo “Kiku-
yu”, el más grande de Kenia, así como los pueblos Gusii,
los Akamba y los Meru, quienes también descienden de
los Bantú.
Las raíces lingüísticas y culturales de Kenia com-
prenden: la Nilo-Sahariana, la Afro-Asiática y la Bantú,
las cuales han definido a este país como multi-étnico
desde hace varios siglos.
El territorio que en la actualidad ocupa Kenia fue ob-
jeto de diversas migraciones a lo largo de la historia, lo
que permite que en la actualidad existan diversos pue-
blos y culturas, que lo convierten en una gran oportuni-
dad para abarcar tanto la historia como el presente de
ese país africano.
2000 years ago, in the oriental sector of the conti-
nent, massive fluctuations of humans, originally from
the West, were embraced in the region, in their major-
ity farmers from the Batú villages, who made use of
their tools and weapons in great measure, much more
advanced recollectors and hunters, native to the ter-
ritory. In a brief laps of time, they excelled as the eth-
nic-linguistic group most large of the region, to which
the “Kikuyu” also belong to, being the largest minor-
ity in Kenya, so is the case of the Gusii people, the
Akamba and the Meru, whom descent of the Bantú.
The linguistic and cultural roots of Kenya are
composed by: Nilo-Sahariana, Afro-Asian and Bantú,
which have defined this country as multi ethnic, sev-
eral centuries ago.
In actuality the country occupied by Kenya was
target of many migrations throughout history, fact
that allows it to own different minorities and cultures
in the present day. Converting it into a great oppor-
