KENIA COMO DESTINO TURÍSITICO
Kenia es uno de los grandes destinos turísticos del
mundo y del continente africano. El país es identificado
por su extensa diversidad de paisajes, flora, fauna y la
diversidad cultural. Cuenta con playas tropicales y arre-
cifes de coral, espesos bosques ecuatoriales, así como
grandes montañas cubiertas de nieve. Kenia es un mi-
crocosmos por excelencia.
Este país representaun destino sumamente atractivo
para turistas de todo el mundo. Las opciones van desde
los ya conocidos safaris, que han atraído amiles de explo-
radores, aventureros y viajeros en varios siglos, hasta la
maravillosa y acogedora estancia en una de sus playas,
frecuentada por el turismo europeo y asiático. Asimismo,
los viajes de negocios y las conferenciasmultilaterales fo-
mentan cada vezmás el flujo de visitantes.
Las primeras palabras que se podrán escuchar al arri-
bar al Aeropuerto Internacional Jomo Kenyatta, segura-
mente serán en Swahili: NaamkuwakaribishakwaKenya
o WelcometoKenya (Bienvenido a Kenia). El inglés es la
segunda lengua oficial ymás hablada, utilizada particular-
mente en el turismo, el comercio, las finanzas y la política.
Algunas otras palabras cotidianas que podrán
escucharse a menudo sirven para adentrarse en
la cultura y la lengua swahili son: Habari(Hola);
Habariyako?-singular- y Habarizenu?-plural- (¿Cómo
estás?) y se responde Mzuri! nawewe?(Bien, ¿y tú?).
Es simplemente básico pedir algo con un Tafadali
(Por favor) o bien responder con Asante(Gracias) o un
Karibu(de nada). También es importante saber decir
Ndiyo(sí) y Hapana(No). Al salir del país se podrá es-
cuchar Safari njema(Buen viaje).

The first words you might listen upon arrival to
the International Kenyatta airport, will surley be
in Swahili:: Naamkuwakaribishakwa Kenya or Wel-
come to Kenya (English is the second most used
language, used particularly in tourism, commerce,
finance and politics.
Some other basic words you might hear of-
ten and are used to be immersed in the culture,
will be: Habari(Hello); Habariyako?-singular- and
