¿Cómo fue tu acercamiento al mundo
del arte?
Es algo que ya traía, nací con eso o tal vez lo heredé
de mi abuela, quien también era pintora. Crecí ro-
deado de arte; recuerdo llegar a casa de mi abuela
y encontrar una pintura secándose en el caballete,
hasta la fecha el olor del óleo lo asocio con esa casa,
en donde había un piano que me gustaba tocar. Por
otra parte, mi papá toca la guitarra, escribió una no-
vela y le gusta esculpir. Mi madrina también toca la
guitarra, el acordeón y dibuja; con mis primos di-
bujaba o tocaba música. Esos fueron mis primeros
acercamientos al arte. Hoy convivo con diversos
artistas, como el maestro Jorge Marín o Edy Lan,
uno de los mejores compositores en la actualidad,
quienes son de gran inspiración para mí. Me siento
afortunado por haber crecido en ese mundo.
¿How did you approach the ar-
tistic world?
This is something I already had in me, I was born
with it or I inherited it frommy grandmother, shewas
also a painter; I grew up surrounded by art. I remem-
ber one day I arrived to my grandmother’s home and
found a painting drying on the easel, until this day
I can remember the smell of paint. There was also a
piano in that house that I loved to play. On the other
hand, my dad played the guitar, he wrote a novel and
he was a sculptor. My godmother played the guitar
too, as well as the accordion and she sketches; with
my cousins Iwoulddrawor playmusic. Theseweremy
first approaches to art. Today I pass the time with sev-
eral artists likeEdyLan,who isoneof thebest compos-
ers of our time, he is a great inspiration for me. I feel
incredibly lucky to have grownup in thisworld.
