Improvements in fuels and engines during the
first half of the 20th century were decisive in the
evolution of the helicopter. The appearance of the
turboprop engine in the second half of the 20 th
century lead to the development of faster, better
helicopters capable of flying at higher altitudes.
These engines are used inmost helicopters, except
small models or those with very low manufactur-
ing costs.
As clients’ needs grew, military development
reached a peak and the helicopter gradually
became a useful tool for society. Therefore, from
2000, aeronautical operators have focused large
efforts on civil aviation.
The percentage growth in civil helicopter sales
in the coming years will be high due to the
increase in the amount of people capable of acquir-
ing these aircraft, as well as the modernness of
business. Today, people see more use of the heli-

civiles para los próximos años será de un gran porcenta-
je, debido al aumento de gente capaz de comprar estas
aeronaves así como la modernidad de los negocios. Hoy
la gente ve más utilidad del helicóptero debido al cambio
del universo en servicios y es más aceptado como herra-
mienta útil en el mundo. Además el negocio de las rentas
de ambulancias aéreas, taxi aéreo y turismo es muy
lucrativo.
