was a worthy representative of the Mexican
Republic in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney.
This team includes members with great experi-
ence, such as Olympic competitor Santiago
Hernandez and the world champion José Akle.
With a lot of enthusiasm to learn the sport and
motivated to give their best, Eugenio de la Rosa,
Santiago Gómez Mont, Alejandro Portilla and
Alejandro Treviño join the team, making it the
youngest in the J24 Class.
Manuel Villarreal, commented to Amura:
“The team was slow to come together because we
had to get used to the new boat, and the good
understanding among the Hakunamatata team
competido por varios años en otro tipo de embarca-
ciones y fue un digno representante de la República
mexicana en los Juegos Olímpicos de Sydney 2000. A
este equipo se unen veleristas de gran experiencia,
como el competidor olímpico Santiago Hernández y
el mundialista José Akle. Con mucho entusiasmo por
aprender de este deporte, y motivados a dar lo mejor
de sí, se incorporan Eugenio de la Rosa, Santiago
Gómez Mont, Alejandro Portilla y Alejandro Treviño,
formando así el equipo más joven de la Clase J24.
