dicionales y pintorescos muy cercanos a Innsbruck y
fácilmente accesibles a lo largo del río Inn. Estos son

Kematen
El nombre de esta ciudad viene de la palabra latina
“caminata”, lo cual evoca la belleza de sus alrededo-
res. Este pueblo combina la tradición con las varia-
das actividades deportivas típicas de esta zona.
Situado en la entrada del valle Sellrain, Kematen es
el punto de salida para diversas excursiones por las
montañas.
Rum
De los pueblos vecinos de esta zona, Rum es el más
cercano a Innsbruck. Desde aquí se llega al parque
alpino de Karwendel, en donde se pueden practicar
una gran variedad de deportes tanto en invierno
como en verano. El pueblo también cuenta con edifi-
caciones que datan de la segunda mitad del siglo XIII.
Völs
El espectacular lago de Völs es el mayor atractivo de
este pueblo. También aquí se encuentra el Museo de
Thurnfels, el cual alberga una importante colección
de artefactos que datan de la era de bronce y que
fueron descubiertos en esta localidad en 1881/82. La
vista de las montañas desde esta localidad es algo
que no debe perderse.

Kematen
The name of this city comes from the Latin word

its surroundings. This town combines the tradi-
tion with the assorted sports activities typical of
this zone. Located at the entrance of the Sellrain
valley, Kematen is the exit point for several excur-
sions by the mountains.
Rum
Of the neighbor towns of this area, Rum is the clos-
est to Innsbruck. From here you arrive to the alpine
park of Karwendel, inwhich you can practice a great
variety of sports inwinter as well as in summer. The
village also counts with buildings that date from
the second half of the XIIIth century.
Völs
The spectacular lake of Völs is the greatest attrac-
tion of this town. Here is also found Museum of
Thurnfels, which houses an important collection
of devices that date from the bronze and that were
discovered in this location in 1881/82. The view of
the mountains from this location is something
that you should not miss.
