ara cumplir la tercera etapa del “Proyecto Ti-
burón” viajamos del 4 al 9 de agosto a un
pequeño pueblo llamado Morehead City, que se
encuentra ubicado en Carolina del Norte USA, donde
logramos fotografiar a “El tiburón tigre arenoso” cum-
pliendo así con esto el objetivo que nos propusimos al
iniciar este proyecto.

Identificación:
Poseen una mandíbula con dientes
aserrados y pronunciados hacia afuera y el hocico
con terminación en punta que hacen que parezca
que está gruñendo. Cuerpo voluminoso. El primer
set de aletas dorsales se encuentra detrás de las
aletas pélvicas. La aleta anal es larga como las pélvi-
cas y la segunda dorsal. La coloración de la parte su-
perior del tiburón va desde marrón hasta gris dora-
do, usualmente con pinceladas de manchas un poco
más oscuras, en el vientre presenta un color pálido.

o complete the third stage of the “Shark
Proyect”, we travelled from the 4th to the 9th
of August to a small village called Morehead
City, which is located in North Carolina, USA, where
we could photograph the “Sand Tiger Shark”, thus
achieving the goal we had established for ourselves
at the beginning of this project.

Identification:
They possess a mandible with
sawed teeth, which are pronounced towards the
outside, and a pointy snout that makes appear
as if it’s growling. Voluptuous body. The first set
of dorsal fins are found venid the pelvic fins. The
anal fin is long, as the pelvic and second dorsal.
The coloration on the upper part of the shark
ranges frommaroon up to golden gray hues, usu-
ally dotted with darker spots. The underbelly
presents a pale colouring.
