Reacciones ante los buzos:
Se mantienen quietos a
menos de que un buzo se acerque demasiado a ellos.
Normalmente no son agresivos, pero los machos
pueden serlo en época de celo o durante el cortejo.
Morehead city es un lugar mundialmente famoso
para el buceo por dos razones:
Primero, la gran cantidad de naufragios. Se puede ob-
servar un submarino alemán que fue hundido por el
ejército americano. Algunos de los barcos se hundie-
ron por el mal clima, mientras que otros se colocaron
con el propósito de crear arrecifes artificiales.
La segunda razón, y que fue la que nos trajo aquí,
son los “tiburones tigres de arena” que han escogido
algunos de estos barcos para vivir en ellos.

Reaction to the divers:
They stay still unless a
diver comes too close to them. Normally they are
not aggressive to divers, but themales can be dur-
ing mating season, or courtship.
Morehead city is a world famous place for diving
for two reasons.
First, the large quantity of shipwrecks. One can
even observe a German submarine that was sunken
by the american Army. Some of the ships where
sunken by foul weather, while others where places
for the sole purpose of creating artificial coral reefs.
The second reason, the one which bought us
here, was the “sand tiger sharks”, which have cho-
sen ships to live inside these ships.
