Al no tener más opción que averiguar de qué se
trataba y a través de un amigo, la primera vez que ju-
gué me enganché con el primer
drive
que pegué, lue-
go de que el
caddie
me dijo confiado: “Usted va a ser
muy buen jugador”.
ER: ¿Cómo fundaron Golf Total?
SG: Cuando mi hijo Salvador me dijo: “Papá, creo
que el mundo del golf ha crecido muchísimo y no hay
una empresa que proporcione servicios profesionales
de organización a grupos corporativos para sus
eventos de golf y creo que hay gran oportunidad de
negocio”. Él, también apasionado golfista, conocedor
del medio y administrador de empresas, preparó un
proyecto de negocio. Empezamos la empresa entre
tres socios, yo sólo lo atendía por momentos, pero
fue tal el éxito que al año de haber iniciado, vendí
mi negocio y me incorporé con ellos al 100% y éste
diciembre, cumplimos 10 años.
ER:¿CuálessonlasprincipalesactividadesdeGolfTotal?
SG:Esunaempresapromotoradeserviciosyproductos
al servicio del golf. Con cinco líneas de negocio en torno a
este deporte, y con la experiencia adquirida a lo largo de
una década, podemos servir a nuestros clientes con una
moderna tecnología aplicada a esta especialidad, que nos
ha posicionado como una empresa líder de alta calidad,
para satisfacer las necesidades denuestros clientes.
ER: ¿En México, cuántos torneos cree que se lle-
ven a cabo y de que índole?
SG: En este país se llevan a cabo más de 700 tor-
neos anuales, que equivalen a dos torneos diarios en

ER: ¿How did you create Golf Total?
SG: When my son Salvador said to me “Dad

knowing the atmosphere and being a business
administrator, made a business project. We started
the company between three partners and I only
attend to it sometimes, but it was such a success
that after a year I soldmy business and became part
of it 100%, and this December we will be 10 years.
ER: ¿What are the main activities of Golf Total?
SG: It's a company promoter of services and pro-
ducts at the service of golf. With this sport having
five business lines and with the experience acqui-
red through this decade, we can serve our clients
with amodern technology applied to this specialty,
which has placed us as a high quality leader enter-
prise, to satisfy our client's needs.
ER: ¿ Howmany tournaments do you think take
place in Mexico and of what sort?
SG: In this country there are over 700 annual
