Es precisamente por este mosaico histórico, cul-
tural, religioso, por el que año con año llegan a estas
tierras millones de personas procedentes de todas
partes del mundo.

tantes, es el séptimo país más extenso del planeta que
comparado con México (dos millones de kilómetros
cuadrados de superficie) y 110 millones de mexicanos,
se traduce en 50%más de territorio, casi 10 veces más
de población en comparación con el nuestro.
“Me di cuenta que en la India había cosas muy in-
teresantes, más de lo que generalmente uno conoce,
de lo tradicional como el Taj Mahal que todo mundo lo
identifica con la India. Encontré que mucha de la cul-
tura está en lugares pequeños, que muchas veces no
es ni población sino tan sólo templos o vestigios de lo
que alguna vez fue”, explicó el arquitecto García Vallar-
ta, quien durante un año planeó realizar este viaje con
ayuda de infinidad de libros, mapas y guías.

“I realized that India has very interesting
things, more than one usually knows about, from
the traditional Taj Mahal that everyone identifies it
with India. I found out that most of the culture is
in small places, that sometimes are not even popu-
lations but only temples or remains of something
that once was”, explained Architect Garcia Vallarta,
who during a whole year planned this trip with the
help of an infinity of books, maps and guides.
