Para finalizar este recorrido y antes de la partida
desde Mumbai, el arquitecto Vallarta llegó a la ciu-
dad de Ahmadabad (en Gujarat), donde está una de
las edificaciones más destacadas: El Templo jainista
Hathee Singh, decorado con elegantes figuras, todas
ellas representan a los 24 Tirthankar, humanos que
alcanzaron la iluminación.
Son los modelos a seguir para todos aquellos que
buscan una guía espiritual, según la tradición jainista
y donde no es posible tomar fotografías en el interior
del templo, y muchos de sus visitantes se las ingenian
para llevar consigo un recuerdo de las maravillas que
han visto en él. No es raro ver turistas con un cuaderno
y un lápiz en mano, dibujando pacientemente las figu-
ras de los Tirthankars.
India ofrece un patrimonio cultural no sólo apa-
bullante (con 26 monumentos, parques nacionales y
líneas de tren en lista por la UNESCO como Patrimonio
de la Humanidad, sólo superada en Asia por China) sino
también único, que entreabre la posibilidad de sumer-
girse en unmicrocosmos en el que conviven religiones,
mitos, tradiciones y prácticas que apenas han variado
en los últimos cuatro mil años, donde concluimos este
recorrido realizado por más de 51 lugares durante 40
días, en la cuna del misticismo y la religión.

To finish the journey and before heading back
to Mumbai, the Architecht arrived to the city of Ah-
madabad (in the state of Gujarat), where one of the
most outstanding buildings can be found: the Janis
Temple of Hathee Singh, decorated with elegant
figures, all of which represent the 24 human
Tirthankar that reached enlightment.
They are the role models for those who seek for
a spiritual guide, according to Janis tradition taking
photos is not allowed inside the temple, but many
of their visitors make it out with a souvenir of the
wonders inside it. Its not strange to see tourists
with notebooks and pencils in their hands, patiently
drawing the figures of the Tirthankars.
India offers a cultural patrimony that is not
only overwhelming (with26 monuments, national
parks and railways in line for the UNESCO as Pa-
trimonies of Humanity, only behind China in all of
Asia) but it’s also unique, opening the possibility
of submerging into a micro cosmos where religion,
myths, traditions and practices live along and had
barely changed in the last four thousand years,
where we conclude this journey throughmore than
51 magical places after 40 days, in the cradle of
mysticism and religion.
