Anjuna o visitar su catedral católica, y la iglesia donde
se encuentran los restos momificados de San Francis-
co Javier, ahí se pueden saborear mariscos y pescados
(gambas tigre, dorada o langostinos) bajo la sombra
de algún que otro cocotero de sus playas idílicas como
Palolem o Patnem.
El recorrido continuó hacia Halebeedu y Belur, don-
de se hallan templos edificados con una arquitectura
impresionante a base de filigrana, labrada en piedra de
forma increíble. Posteriormente se visitó la población
de Sravanabelagola, donde en la parte superior de un
alto cerro se encuentra una escultura monumental
también monolítica de un profeta jainista del S III a.C.
De ahí se visitó la ciudad de Mysore, que es la
segunda en importancia de Karnataka, donde se en-
cuentra el Palacio del Marahá, el Instituto de Investi-
gaciones Orientales, la Galería Sri Chamarajeendra y la
Catedral de San José.
Antes de despedirse, el chofer hizo la recomenda-
ción de utilizar el tren y así se hizo para viajar hacia
la región de Tamil Nadu, hacia el puerto de Mahaba-
lipuram, en un trayecto que duró 24 horas donde se
observaron postales muy típicas de la India y sus alre-
dedores como hombres en cuclillas jugando baraja, y
las mujeres cargando a sus niños, con cántaros y leña.

The journey continued towards Halebeedu and
Belur, where buildings with an amazing architec-
ture based on impressive stone worked filigree
are located, the next visit was to Sravanabelagola
where in the highest part of one hill, a monumental
monolithic sculpture from a Janis Prophet dated of
the 2nd Century B.C is located.
From there, the city of Mysore was visited, the
second most important city in Karnataka, where
the Maraha Palace, The Oriental Research Institute,
The Shri Chamarajeendra Gallery and the Saint Jo-
seph Cathedral are located.
Before saying goodbye, the taxi driver recommen-
ded taking the train, and so it was done in order to get
to the Tamil Nadu region, towards the port of Mahaba-
lipuram in a 24 hr trip where lots of landscapes from
India and its surrounding were displayed, like men
playingcardsontheir knees andwomencarrying their
kids, withwater pitchers andwoodfire.
