Más poderoso y deportivo
El Porsche Cayenne 2008 debuta con nuevos propul-
sores y un tren motriz mejorado, que le imprimen un
comportamiento más deportivo y un mayor desem-
peño que se traducen en prestaciones fuera de serie
y un manejo excitante y divertido.
En el caso del Cayenne Turbo la planta de poder
es un nuevo V8 de 4,8 litros –0,3 litros más que su
antecesor, dotado de dos turbocompresores y, por
vez primera, de inyección directa de gasolina (Direct
Fuel Injection - DFI) y el sistema de control de válvu-
las VarioCam Plus, que le otorga no sólo mayor
potencia, sino también una respuesta más enérgica
y menor consumo de combustible y menos emisio-
nes contaminantes.
Gracias a estos cambios, el motor biturbo entrega
ahora 500 HP (50 más que el modelo anterior), mien-
tras que su torque aumentó a 516 libras/pie (13 %
más que su antecesor) entre las 2,250 - 4,500 r/m.
Su comportamiento es más deportivo y noble,
transmitiendo una sensación de dominio y confort
absoluto en todo momento. Esto se debe en gran
parte al nuevo sistema PDCC (Porsche Dynamic
Chassis Control) que mitiga al máximo la inclinación
del vehículo en curva, el control de estabilidad PSM
(Porsche Stability Management), y el control de trac-
ción PTM (Porsche Traction Management), que puede
llegar a repartir 100 % de la tracción a las ruedas
delanteras o traseras, dependiendo de las condicio-
nes de adherencia al camino.
