marca alemana Gumpert prepara el lanzamiento
del Tornate, un vehículo deportivo de aproximada-
mente 4.5mde longitud con carrocería de fibra de carbo-
no diseñada por Carrozzería Touring Supperlegera.
La selección de una firma italiana contribuyó al es-
tablecimiento de nuevos paradigmas para Gumpert, que
equilibró la alta ingeniería con la elegancia y las líneas de-
portivas en el Tornate.
Este modelo aprovecha muchas de las caracterís-
ticas del Apolo, en especial las relativas a la potencia, y
las adecuaciones se concentraron específicamente en
ofrecer más comodidad y confort para ser conducido en
carretera. En pocas palabras, éste es un auto de carreras
para un uso cotidiano.
Para atender la solicitud de los clientes que reque-
rían de más espacio, Gumpert y sus diseñadores redu-
jeron el volumen de los interiores, por ejemplo, en un 25
por ciento e hicieron ajustes al chasis para colocar las
puertas Gullwing.
Entre sus características sobresalen: asientos total-
mente ajustables, con cinturones de seguridad de cuatro
puntos; incorporación de material de aislamiento térmico
y acústico en el piso y en el compartimiento del motor.

German manufacturer Gumpet, is getting
ready to launch the Tornate –a sports car
almost 15 ft long with carbon fiber bodywork de-
signed by Carrozzeria Touring Supperlegera.
Choosing the Italian firm as a design partner
for Gumpert, contributed to the balancing of high
technology engineering with elegance and the
fine sports lines of the Torante.
Tornate benefits from many of the character-
istics from the Apolo -especially those related
to power- and changes focused specifically into
delivering greater comfort when driving on high-
ways. In other words, this is a racing car for ev-
eryday use.
In order to meet customer’s demands of mor
space, Gumpet and its designing team reduced
the interior volume by 25 per cent and made
adjustments to the chassis so the sophisticated
Gullwing doors could be added.
Some of the unique Apolo’s features that stand
out: Totally adjustable seats with 4 point seat belts;
and the addition of isolation thermal and acoustic
material to the floor and the motor hood.
