History
Feasibility studies for the SPn began in the autumn of
2003 and, after in depth analysis, Grob ExecuJet
Aviation Group and Grob Aerospace officially initiated
the project in January 2004. By the last trimester of the
same year, the design and engineering plans were com-
pleted and the first airframe was presented in October.
The beginning of this year marked the comple-
tion of the static tests and the assembly of the first
model started in March. This plane was displayed
without interiors in the Le Bourget Paris Air Show
and, on July 20, Prototype 1 made a first flight that
lasted 66 minutes.
United States certification (category 14CFR from
the Federal Aviation Administration) and European
Union certification (category CS23 from the European
Aviation Safety Agency) will be granted in the first
trimester of 2007 and the first deliveries will take
place during the first semester of the same year.
Prototype 2 is under construction and will begin
service in March 2006. Static charge tests on a static
structure are currently being done and they will try to
get certification during the second trimester of 2006.
Historia
En otoño de 2003 iniciaron los estudios de factibilidad
del SPn y, tras profundos análisis, en enero de 2004 se
puso en marcha el proyecto con Grob ExecuJet Aviation
Group y Grob Aerospace. El último trimestre de ese año
el proyecto de diseño e ingeniería estaba terminado y
en octubre se presentó el primer fuselaje.
A comienzos de este año se completaron las prue-
bas estáticas y en marzo empezó el ensamblaje del pri-
mer modelo, el cual fue presentado en el Paris Air Show
de Le Bourget (sin interiores) y el 20 de julio el Prototi-
po número 1 realizó el primer vuelo de 66 minutos.
La certificación de Estados Unidos (categoría 14CFR
de la FAR, Federal Aviation Administration) y la Unión
Europea (categoría CS23 de la EASA, European Aviation
Safety Agency) será en el primer trimestre del 2007 y
las primeras entregas antes de finalizar el primer se-
mestre de 2007.
Está en construcción el Prototipo número 2, el cual
entrará en servicio en marzo de 2006; actualmente se
realizan pruebas de carga estática en una estructura es-
tática, de la cual se buscará la certificación en el segundo
trimestre de 2006.
