Situada a orillas del Mar de la China Meridional, Sanya es considerada el Hawaii Oriental, pues se trata de la única ciudad costera de la zona tropical china.
El sol, mar, playas, clima, bosques, fuentes termales, animales, cuevas, campo y cultura hacen de este lugar el destino turístico tropical que reúne mayor
número de alicientes. Sus paisajes más llamativos son Tianya Haijia (los rincones más remotos del mundo), la montaña de Nanshan, la bahía de Yalong, Lu-
huitou (el ciervo que vuelve la cabeza), el granMar Oriental y la isla de Xidao. La ausencia de temperaturas extremas tanto en invierno como en verano atrae
