Interior
El interior de la cabina es muy racional, su funcio-
nalidad es llevada al extremo. Hay un asiento de ca-
rreras con un cinturón de seguridad de cuatro puntos,
cada tira de un color diferente, bolsas de aire, y el mí-
nimo de instrumentos. El punto focal de estos es una
pantalla headup, típica de los aviones de combate.
Para salir del vehículo, el conductor debe quitar el
volante y descansarlo en el tablero, abrir el domo con
un mando electrónico, ponerse de pie en su asiento,
sentarse en un punto preciso a su izquierda, para a con-
tinuación, girar sus piernas 180 grados desde el interior
de la cabina del piloto al exterior del vehículo .
En este punto sus pies se pueden establecer en el
suelo para estar completamente incorporado. Incluso al
salir del vehículo, el Lamborghini Egoista requiere un pi-
lotomás que un conductor, un verdadero experto.
La filosofía
El Egoísta contiene, en opinión de Walter De Silva,
todos los criterios relativos al producto que son parte de
Lamborghini. “Es como si Ferruccio Lamborghini dijera:
Voy a poner el motor en la parte trasera, no quiero un
pasajero. Yo quiero esto para mí, y quiero que sea lo que
imagino que es. Un vehículo fanático, Egoísta es así”.
Si Lamborghini son coches para unos pocos, éste
va más allá. Es un coche para sí mismo, un regalo de
Lamborghini para Lamborghini, resplandeciente en su
soledad. El Egoísta es emoción pura, La Tierra de Nunca
Jamás, la cual nadie puede poseer, y que se siempre se-
guirá siendo un sueño para todos.
Interior
The cockpit’s interior is extremely rational, its
functionality taken to the extreme. There is a rac-
ing seat with a four-point seatbelt, each strip a dif-
ferent color, the airbags, and the bare minimum of
instruments. The focal point of these is a headup
display, typical of jet fighters.
To get out of the vehicle, the driver must remove
the steering wheel and rest it on the dashboard, open
the dome with an electronic command, stand up in
their seat, sit down on a precise point of the lefthand
bodywork, then swivel their legs 180 degrees fromthe
inside of the cockpit to the outside of the vehicle.
At this point they can set their feet down and
stand up. Even in getting out of the vehicle, the
Lamborghini Egoista requires a pilot more than a
driver, a real top gun.
The philosophy
The Egoista contains, inWalter De Silva’s opinion,
all the product criteriawhichare part of Lamborghini’s
make-up. “It’s as if Ferruccio Lamborghini were say-
ing: I’m going to put the engine in the back, I don’t
want a passenger. I want it for myself, and I want it as
I imagine it to be. It is a fanatical vehicle, Egoista fits
it well.” If Lamborghinis are cars for the few, this one
goes further. It is a car for itself, a gift from Lambo-
rghini toLamborghini, resplendent in its solitude. The
Egoista is pure emotion, Never Never Land, which no
one can ever possess, and which will always remain a
dream, for everyone.
