Cristianos maronitas
En el siglo VII, los maronitas, para escapar de la
opresión de los conquistadores árabes, se refugiaron
en los montes y valles del Líbano, en donde formaron
la iglesia maronita bajo el liderazgo de San Marón, re-
conocido por el Papa como primer patriarca maronita
en el Líbano. Los maronitas encontraron una tierra de
libertad, quienes en todos los tiempos han defendido
su tierra con valentía, sangre y heroísmo.
Los maronitas son conscientes de que no son ellos
los únicos dueños de la tierra de los Cedros, por esto
siempre extienden sus brazos y abren sus corazones a
todos los habitantes y visitantes en territorio libanés,
a diferencia de las etnias que les platiqué antes.
Aquí concluye mi viaje por este hermoso y gol-
peado país “El Líbano”, no sin antes mencionar que el
Líbano, alberga en sus fronteras maravillas de valor
incalculable y cuenta la leyenda que Adán y Abraham
moraron en “Baalbeck” cuando sólo era un oasis ro-
deado de cedros.

Maronite Christians
During the VII century, the Maronite, to escape
oppression from the Arab conquerors, refuged in
themountains and valleys of Lebanon, where sever-
al Maronite churches were created under the lead-
ership of Saint Maron, known by the first pope as
Maronite patriarch of Lebanon, the Maronite found
a land of freedomand at all time defended their land
with bravery, blood and heroism.
The Maronite are conscious they aren’t the only
owners of the cedar land, because of this, they al-
ways extend their arms and open their heart to in-
habitants and visitors of the Lebanese territory, un-
like other ethnics I had spoken of before.
This beautiful trip throughout this country
concludes, not without mentioning that Lebanon
houses in its borderlines wonderful stories of in-
calculable valor, legend says Adam and Abraham
inhabited “Baalbeck” when it was only an oasis
surrounded by cedars.
