ustralia es el 4o mayor exportador de Vino del
mundo, con ventas internacionales de 105
millones de galones al año, casi 400 millones
de litros. Este volumen se duplica al sumarle el con-
sumo interno: la producción total sobrepasa los 200
millones de galones.
La etiqueta australiana Penfolds Grange ha ga-
nado más de 50 medallas de oro desde su origen,
en 1951, el primer lugar en los “Jeux Olympiques du
Vin” en París 1990, y fue reconocido como “Vino Tin-
to del Año” por el la revista Wine Spectator en 1995.
Está considerado como “el vino más exótico y con-
sistente del mundo”.
Grange de Penfolds es el vino más famoso de Aus-
tralia y ha sido incluido oficialmente en la lista del Lega-
do Icónico del Sur de Australia. Grange se enorgullece
de su estirpe ininterrumpida de viñedos que inició en
1951 ymuestra claramente la sinergia entre la variedad
Shiraz, el suelo y el clima del sur de Australia.
Penfolds Grange se enorgullece de su uva Shi-
raz madura, llena de sabor y textura. El 95% de esta
cepa es combinada con el 5% de Cabernet Sauvignon
para obtener un singular estilo australiano que hoy
es reconocido como uno de los más consistentes del
