The Grill Room
A
l dar el primer paso en The Grill Room Cham-
pagne and Cocktail Lounge, deslumbra su jue-
go infinito de espejos, candelabros, luces y
columnas doradas. Es un estilo Luis XVI recién restau-
rado que emula al original, de 1865. Un lugar perfecto
para disfrutar de una copa de Champagne, bebidas
preparadas y un menú ligero.
Su encantono se limita almenúde champagnes y vi-
nos, sino a una decoración envolvente que pone el acen-
to en la clase. El techo tienemarcos realzados conhoja de
oro, igual que las columnas, que luce en todo su esplen-
dor y añade una elevada sensación de espacio y drama.
Las mentes geniales de Gran Bretaña se daban cita
en este mismo recinto para discutir cómo cambiar el
mundo: Oscar Wilde, George Bernard Shaw, Aubery
Beardsley y Virginia Wolf. Más recientemente David
Bowie, Mick Jagger, los cuatro Beatles y Elizabeth Ta-
ylor bailaban aquí hasta la madrugada.

W
hen you step into The Grill Room Cham-
pagne and Cocktail Lounge, you are daz-
zled by its infinite array of mirrors, chan-
deliers, lamps and golden columns. It has a newly
restored Louis XVI style that emulates the 1865
original. This is a perfect place to enjoy a glass of
champagne, some mixed drinks and a light menu.
Its charm is not limited to the Champagnes and
Wine menu, but a surround décor that emphasizes
class. The roof molding is embellished with gold leaf,
aswell as the columns, shining in its entire splendor,
adding a heightened sense of space and drama.
The great minds of Britain came together in this
same room to discuss how to change the world. Os-
car Wilde, George Bernard Shaw Aubery Beardsley
and Virginia Woolf and more recently David Bowie,
Mick Jagger, the four Beatles and Elizabeth Taylor
danced here until dawn.
