l Museo Guggenheim de Bilbao recientemente
presentó por primera vez en España la obra de
David Hockney, uno de los artistas más influ-
yentes del Siglo XX.
Las galerías Annely Juda Fine Art, L.A. Louver, Richard
GrayGalleryySaltsMill: The1853Gallery exhiben trabajos
del pintor, escenógrafo, fotógrafo y dibujante David Hock-
ney quien, acorde a los tiempos, también usa como instru-
mentode arte su iPad. Sonexposiciones alegres, coloridas,
divertidas,peroconunavisiónquesuperaconprofundidad
al arteNaïf o al decorativo.
Es de una sencillez lúcida, que no renuncia a la be-
lleza ni a la mirada analítica. Hockney nos guía de la
mano de la luz a descubrir que no sabíamos que vemos
lo mismo que él. Y con la misma penetración descubre
la manera de acentuar, criticar, corregir e interpretar su
entorno; ese que, aunque jamás lo hayamos visto, tiene
tanto en común con nosotros.

introduced for the first time in Spain, David
Hockney works, one of the most influential
artists of the twentieth century.
The galleries Annely Juda Fine Art, L.A. Louver,
Richard Gray Gallery and Salts Mill: The 1853 Gallery
exhibit theworks of the artist, stage designer and pho-
tographer David Hockney, who, in accordance with
the times, he uses an iPad as a tool for art. His exhibits
are cheerful, colorful, and fun, while also with a vision
whichgoesdeeper than theNaïveor decorative art.
He has a lucid simplicity, without neglecting
beauty or the analytical gaze. Hockney’s art guides
us through the light to discover that we didn’t know
what he does. Andwith the same penetration, he dis-
covers how to accentuate, criticize, correct and inter-
pret the environment. Even though we have never
seen his work, it hasmuch in commonwith us.
