Manejar por los fiordos
Rentar un coche y manejar por las autopistas de No-
ruega es una de las formas en que se podrán conocer
lugares y admirar paisajes que posiblemente sólo
existen en los sueños. Una de las mejores rutas es
hacia Lofthus, en donde la ruta larga es sinónimo de
exquisitas vistas panorámicas. En el camino es posi-
ble detenerse en las cascadas de Steinsdalsfossen;
con una altura de 50 m, su principal atractivo es que
se puede caminar detrás de la caída de agua.
Los fiordos son entradas angostas de mar que se
formaron durante la era del hielo, al contraerse los
glaciares. Sólo existen en algunos países y su mayor
concentración se encuentra en Noruega, gracias a su
clima templado, abunda la vegetación. Conducir junto
a los fiordos es un reto, a veces la carretera pasa a un
diminuto carril, aunque el camino está perfectamente
bien planeado. En ocasiones y dependiendo de la ruta,
es mejor tomar ferris para cruzar estrechos de agua,
posteriormente se puede retomar el viaje. Si ya se ha
decidido a viajar en auto, es importante que durante
el invierno se verifique que las carreteras no están ce-
rradas, para disfrutar al máximo de este viaje.

Driving by the fjords
To rent a car and drive by the highways of Nor-
way is one of the ways to get to know places and
admire sights that possibly exist only in dreams.
One of the best routes is towards Lofthus, where
the largest route means exquisite panoramic
views. It is possible to make a stop and enjoy the
Steinsdalsfossen cascade with a height of 50 m

the waterfall.
The fjords are narrow sea entries that were
formed during the ice age when the glaciers con-
tracted. They exist only in a few Countries and the
highest concentration is in Norway, where due to its
mild weather there is abundant vegetation. To drive
by the fjords is a challenge, sometimes the road nar-
rows to a one line, though the road is perfectly well
planned. Depending on the route, sometimes it is
better to cross the water straits using the ferry, af-
ter which you can pick the car up again. If you have
decided to travel by car, it is important in winter
time that you check whether or not the highways
are opened to enjoy this trip to its maximum.
