l encuentro de los mundos, ocurrido
en América hace 524 años, generó un
sinfín de consecuencias; entre ellas
podemos celebrar el advenimiento de
distintos lenguajes y culturas a partir
de la mixtura de las diversas naciones que conver-
gieron en el universo llamado “Gran Caribe”: las de
Europa, las mal llamadas indias de América, y las
africanas dieron a luz una civilización insólita.

took place in the Americas 524 years
ago, generated an endless series of
consequences; among them we can
celebrate the forthcoming of differ-
ent languages and cultures that resulted from
the intermixture of diverse nations that con-
verged in the universe called “the Great Carib-
bean”: Europeans, the wrongly called Indians
from the Americas, and Africans gave birth to an
unimaginable civilization.
