Civic District
Considerado el centro histórico de Singapur, desde la
creación y fundación por Sir Raffles. En sus inicios, los
principales organismos financieros estuvieron empla-
zados aquí, pero con el paso del tiempo fueron cam-
biando a espacios más modernos. En los alrededores
de la zona encontramos el legado artístico e histórico
de la ciudad-isla. Una muestra es el primer lugar que
pisó Sir Raffles, el cual ha sido denominado como el Sir
Stamford Raffles Landing Site. En el recorrido por este
sitio, se puede apreciar la arquitectura de la Cathedral
of the Good Sepherd, el Singapore Art Museum y el
National Museum of Singapore, que narra la historia
de la ciudad mediante objetos, comidas e historias de
vida. Otro de los atractivos del barrio son Peranakan
Museum, Singapore Philatelic Museum, MICA Building,
St. Andrew’s Cathedral, y el famoso e importante Ho-
tel Raffles, uno de los más prestigiosos de la isla.

Considered the historical centre of Singapore, from the
creation and founding by Sir Raffles. In the beginning,
the main financial bodies were located here, but with
the passage of time were changing to more modern
spaces. In the surroundings of the area we find the ar-
tistic andhistorical legacyof the island town. Anexam-
ple is the first place that stepped on Sir Raffles, which
has been called the Sir Stamford Raffles Landing Site.
