alencia es sol, calidez y un mar cubierto
de un cielo azul que te atrapa. Valencia
es fiesta y un premio a los sentidos. Es
vanguardia, cultura y tradición. El enamo-
ramiento surge al respirar el aire medite-
rráneo de esta ciudad que desprende vida, luz y color.
Su principal protagonista es su gente, queme envolvió,
haciéndome sentir como si su casa fuera mi casa.
Descubrir la Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias
es una experiencia extraordinaria. Con su diseño
impecable y un entorno magnífico, este conjunto de
elementos ofrece alternativas para pasar el día sin
dar lugar al aburrimiento. En su interior se halla el
Oceanogràfic, el acuario más grande de Europa. A
través de los cristales quedo impresionada por la
belleza que ofrece la naturaleza.
Al pasear por el Centro Histórico soy consciente
de que ésta es una ciudad de contrastes, en la que
todo se combina con elegancia. En el corazón de
Valencia se halla el conjunto catedralicio, presidido
por la Basílica de la Virgen de los Desamparados,
patrona de la ciudad. La edificación es imponente,
pero al mirar hacia arriba y ver la cúpula, predomi-
na la belleza. El Barroco aparece representado en
todo su esplendor en el Palacio del Marqués de dos
Aguas, cuya fachada es fascinante. Una vez den-
tro, no me decepciono. Me encuentro con el Museo
Nacional de Cerámica, que expone piezas prehistó-
ricas, romanas, griegas y árabes. Sigo la ruta por la
Lonja de la seda y el Mercado de Colón. Sin embar-
go, donde más tiempo permanezco es en el Mercat
Central. Atravesar el umbral de este edificio pre-
modernista es sinónimo de disfrute.

by a blue sky that captures you. Valencia
is a feast, a present for your senses. It is
Avant guard, culture and tradition. The
enrapture surges when you breathe the
Mediterraneanair of this city that exudes life, light and
color. Themainprotagonist is its people that embraced
me,makingme feel as if their homewasmyhome.
To discover the City of the Arts and Sciences is
an extraordinary adventure. With its impeccable
design and magnificent surroundings, this group
of elements offers alternatives to spend a day with-
out a hint of boredom. In its interior you can find
l’Oceanogràfic, the largest aquarium in Europe.
Through the glass I find myself astonished by the
beauty that Nature has to offer.
While strolling through the historic downtown I
am aware that this is a city of contrasts, where every-
thing combines with elegance. In the heart of Valencia
youcanfind the Cathedral complex, with theBasilica of
the Virgin of the Defenseless, Patron Saint of the city.
The construction is astonishing, but when you look
up and see the cupola, beauty prevails. The Baroque is
represented in its full splendor in the Palacio del Mar-
quésdeDosAguas(PalaceoftheMarquisofTwoWaters)
with its fascinating facade. Once inside, there is no dis-
appointment. I find the National Museum of Ceramics
that exhibits pieces that are Prehistoric, Roman, Greek
andArab.IfollowtheroutethroughtheSilkMarketand
the Columbus Market. However, where I spend more
time is at the Mercat Central (Central Market). Walking
through the door of this pre-modern building is a syn-
onymof enjoyment.
