sing the most representative platform of
the brand, Audemars Piguet introduced in
Mexico the Royal Oak Offshore Pride of
Mexico limited edition, a commemorative piece
of Mexico’s Independence Bicentennial.
This piece has carved in its box one of the top
symbols for allMexicans, theAngel of Independence.
While the patriotic colors are present in this tradi-
tion watch.
The white hands run the hours, the red the
seconds, while the numbers are an olive green,
everything in complete reference to the Mexican
flag colors. The needle gives the hours, minutes
and the luminescent details.
“Pride of Mexico” is a collection piece and it is
part of very few special editions in the history of
the oldest high watchmaker firm in the world.
Its production will be limited to 300 pieces, of
which 100 pieces will be made out of pink gold and
the remaining 200 of titanium steel.
The octagonal screwed to the base beveled, is
already a symbol of the constant innovation and an
ancient name tradition, like its founders and current
artistic director, Octavio García, who inherits fromhis
Mexican past the expressive necessary defiance, to
keep on surprising the watch and designworld.
According to the Audemars Piguet council,
they’ve decided to make a commemorative
watch because of the importance of the country
to the brand.
The manual ensemble of the pieces can take an
average of almost four months and its design took
around two years.
It has a 2326/2840 automatic charge caliber,
with a reserve run of up to 38 hours, and a steer fre-
quency of 28,800 alternations per hour.
Plus the hours, minutes and small second
hand, it is also a Chronographwith central trotado-
ra, with 30 minute and 12 hours meters, like spee-
dometer and date.
The box is made out of titanium with steel
beveled and steel screws, the crystal is sapphire,
its screwed crown and pulsers are of black rubber.
The clock is airtight up to 100 meters.
Since its creation in 1992, the Royal Oak
Offshore goes beyond perfection, due to its outs-
tanding performance in extreme conditions that,
since the beginning, has become after almost 40
years, in art and legend.

la edición limitada del Royal Oak Offshore
Pride of Mexico, pieza conmemorativa del Bicentenario
de la Independencia de México.
Esta pieza tiene grabada a realce en la caja uno de
los máximos símbolos para todos los mexicanos, el
Ángel de la Independencia. Mientras, los colores patrios
se hacen presentes en este reloj de tradición.
Las manecillas blancas recorren las horas, la roja
los segundos, mientras que los números son verde
olivo, todo en completa alusión a los colores de la
bandera mexicana. Las agujas dan las horas, minutos
y los dígitos son luminiscentes.
“Pride of Mexico” es una pieza de colección y forma
parte de lasmuy pocas ediciones especiales en la histo-
ria de la firma de alta relojería más antigua del mundo.
Su producción se limitará a 300 piezas, de las
cuales 100 piezas de ellas serán de oro rosa y las 200
restantes de acero-titanio.
El bisel octagonal atornillado a la base, es ya un sím-
bolo de constante innovación y el nombre de una tra-
dición antigua, como sus fundadores y su actual director
artístico, Octavio García, que hereda de su pasado mexi-
cano el atrevimiento expresivo necesario, para seguir
sorprendiendo al mundo de la relojería y el diseño.
De acuerdo con directivos de Audemars Piguet,
decidieron hacer un reloj conmemorativo por la
importancia que tiene el país para la marca.
El ensamble manual de las piezas puede tomar
casi cuatro meses en promedio y su diseño se tardó
alrededor de dos años.
Cuenta con un calibre 2326/2840 de carga
automática, una reserva de marcha de hasta 38
horas, una frecuencia de volante de 28,800 alter-
nancias por hora.
Además de las horas, minutos y pequeño segun-
dero, también es Cronógrafo con trotadora central,
contadores de 30 minutos y 12 horas, así como
taquímetro y fecha.
La caja es de titanio con bisel de acero y tornillos
de acero, el cristal es de zafiro, su corona atornillada
y pulsadores de caucho negro. El reloj es hermético
hasta 100 metros.
Desde su creación en 1992, el Royal Oak
Offshore va más allá de la perfección, por su alta
resistencia en condiciones extremas que, desde sus
inicios, se ha convertido después de casi 40 años,
en arte y leyenda.
