El museo es una verdadera maravilla, que permite
conocer todo lo relacionado con la historia, geología
y fauna-flora de Manitoba.
Después de visitar el fastuoso Manitoba Legis-
lative Building, un impresionante edificio que reina
sobre la ciudad y donde el arquitecto ha incluido en
sus detalles decorativos y arquitectónicos una serie
de códigos misteriosos dignos del “Código da Vinci”,
descubrí el Winnipeg Art Gallery (WAG).
Su arquitectura original recibe la gran colección
de arte Inuit donde las esculturas de ese arte esqui-
mal son de lo más originales e impresionantes, con
diseños estilizados, y el WAG invita a conocer sus co-
lecciones permanentes y temporales.
Finalmente, para despedirme de esa encantadora
ciudad donde uno se siente a gusto, visité el hermoso
parque Assiniboine donde se encuentra el Conserva-
tory, el jardín de las esculturas de Leo Mol, el zoológi-
co y varios jardines.
En éste probé la exquisita comida gourmet del
restaurante Terrace 55, donde se encuentra una pin-
tura original de “Winnie, the Pooh”, el encantador osi-
to inventado por A.A. Milne para libros de niños.
Tiempo de partir
Era tiempo de irse de esa acogedora ciudad y dejar
atrás mi aventura con los osos polares. Con la cabeza
llena de las imágenes de esos encuentros y buen reci-
bimiento de la gran pequeña ciudad con su rico pasa-
do, me iba tristemente.
Mis ojos dentro del alma revivían esos gratos mo-
mentos, inolvidables, fastuosos, una experiencia que
me dejaba atónito y fascinado. Todos mis encuentros

covered the Winnipeg Art Gallery.
Its original architecture welcomes the great Inu-
it art collection where the sculptures of that Eskimo
art are the most original and impressive, with styl-
ized designs, and the WAG calls you to discover its
permanent and temporary collections.
Finally, to say farewell to this delightful city
where one feels so comfortable, I visited the beau-
tiful Assiniboine Park where the Conservatory is
found, the sculpture Leo Mol garden, the zoo and
several gardens.
Here I tasted the exquisite gourmet food of the
Terrace 55 restaurant, where the original Winnie,
The Pooh painting is found, the charming children’s
book bear invented by A.A. Milne.
Time to part
It was time to go from this cozy city and leave
behind my adventure with polar bears. With my
head filled with images of those encounters and a
good welcome from the big small city with its rich
past, I was departing sadly.
