Moskovskaya.
Moscovita, con una producción de un mi-
llón de botellas diarias. Junto con el Stolichnaya, es de
los de mayor producción oficial que se exporta, es puro y
neutro, con 40 °GL.
Zoubrodka.
La botella de este vodka, al igual que el pola-
co, contiene una brizna de hierba zubra, tiene 40 °GL.
Nacido polaco
• En este país la destilación comenzó de forma familiar.
• En su origen se denominaba “gorzalka”.
• En el siglo XIV ya se consumía vodka.
• El rey Jan Olbracht es el primero en autorizar la producción
y venta de este destilado.
• En 1564 se aplica el primer impuesto a la destilación.
• Desde el siglo XVI al siglo XVIII la destilación de este
aguardiente se convirtió en industria nacional.
El vodka es el aguardiente más consumido en Polonia,
entre variedades aperitivas y estomacales. Normalmente, se
compone de un tipo de grano, casi siempre el centeno, aun-
que hay otros elaborados con mezcla de cereales o con papas
o macerados en hierbas y frutas.
Principales marcas de vodka polaco:
Zubrowka.
Conocido también como “vodka del bisonte”, lle-
va en el interior de la botella una brizna de hierba zubra, que
da color y finura. Es uno de los más famosos en Polonia.
Wyborowa.
Puro de grano, 40 °GL y de buena elaboración.
Tatra.
De alcohol de papas, con adición de hierbas.
Moskovskaya.
This vodka from Moscow has a
daily production of a million bottles. Along with
Stolichnaya, it is one of the biggest exports. It is
pure, neutral and is 40-proof.
Zoubrodka.
This bottle of 40-proof vodka, like the
polish variety, has a tiny piece of a herb called
zubra.

• In Poland, distilling started as a family business.
• At the beginning it was called “gorzalka”.
• Vodka has been consumed since the 14th century.
• King Jan Olbracht was the first to authorize the
production and sale of this liquor.
• In 1564 the first tax on stills was collected.
• From the 16th to the 18th century the distillation
of this liquor became a national industry.
Among aperitif and digestive varieties, vodka is
the most consumed liquor in Poland. It is usually
made of one type of grain, though there are those
made with a mix of grains, potatoes or macerated
with herbs and fruit.
Main polish brands of vodka:
Zubrowka.
Known also as the “bison vodka”. The
interior of the bottle has a small piece of zubra
herb, which gives it color and finesse. It is one of
Poland’s most famous.
Wyborowa.
100% grain, 40-proof and well made.
Tatra.
From potato alcohol and with added herbs.
