La seducción de Bangkok
Dejamos nuestro paraíso, volando sobre el golfo de
Siam desde donde podía apreciarse el delta del río
Chao Phraya, con sus criaderos de camarones y sus
arrozales. Pero Bangkok ya nos esperaba para cauti-
varnos, intrigarnos y dejarnos seducir.
Antes de ser embrujado por los misterios de la
gran urbe, nos refugiamos en el Four Seasons
Bangkok, un lujoso hotel donde la elegancia de los
salones y habitaciones, inmensos jardines y sus
fuentes, la comodidad de la alberca y el spa, además
de la belleza en sus restaurantes, protegen de las
tentaciones de Bangkok.
La también conocida como la Venecia de oriente no
te intimida, al contrario, te seduce por la delicadeza de
sus jardines y la belleza de sus templos, por el ritmo
moderno y tradicional de la gran urbe, por el tráfico
vehicular tolerable y por el movimiento de los barcos
que hacen vibrar el río Chao Phraya, la paz de sus cana-
les bordeados por casas, con aire de mercado flotante.
En la gran urbe, gozamos de los monumentos
que surgen del pasado: el Palacio Real y sus templos,
un conjunto arquitectónico fascinante construido en
1782 y vigilado por gigantes de piedra, repleto de
pinturas fascinantes, espejos, estupas, torres y jar-
dines, con paneles dorados que brillan en el sol y
donde encontramos el templo del Buda Esmeralda.
Se trata de Wat Pho, que alberga el Buda reclinado de
45 metros de largo.

The seduction of Bangkok
Leaving our paradise, we flew over the gulf of Siam
and out of the window discovered the Chao Phrava
Riverwithshrimpand rice farms. Bangkog awaited to
captivate us, intrigued, and seduced us.
Before being bewitched by the big mysterious
city, we retreated in the Bangkok Four Seasons. It is a
luxurious hotel where the grace of the saloons and
the rooms, the peace of the gardenand fountains, the
comfort of the pool and the spa, the elegance of the
restaurants, protected you from all of the tempta-
tions of Bangkok.
The also known as the Venice of the orient, it
doesn’t intimidate you, on the contrary it seduces
you with great force. It possesses delicate gardens
and beauty of the temples, traditional people with
modern rhythm, the sizable tolerable traffic, the
movement of the boats that make the Chao Phrava
River vibrate the peace of the channels surrounded
by houses and the air of the floatingmarket.
In this big city, we enjoyed the monuments
that surged from the past: the Royal Palace and its
temples, a fascinating architectural collection
built in1782, watchedby giants of stone, surrounded
by fascinating paintings, mirrors, stupas, towers
and gardens, with golden panels that shined with
the sun and where we found the temple of the
emerald Buda; Wat Pho, that secures the laying 45
meter long Buda.
