Huaca de la Luna y la Huaca del Sol (que no ha sido
investigada todavía), imponentes pirámides de adobe de
la antigua ciudad Moche o Mochica, cultura que florecía
entre 300 a.C. y 700 d.C., antes de los Incas, y que nos
ha dejado fantásticos vestigios. Aquí pudimos admirar
los muros de la pirámide con sus hermosos frescos
que representan dioses, personajes y animales con
decorados geométricos que aún conservan trazas de
colores. La belleza insospechada de las vasijas que
representan caras humanas o animales de manera
realista fue un descubrimiento fascin ante.
La ciudad de Trujillo fue otro grato descubrimiento,
con sus elegantes edificios coloridos que delimitan la
hermosa plaza de Armas. Recorrimos sus calles para ad-
mirar esas casas coloniales de altas ventanas enrejadas
y sus fabulosos patios, sus iglesias con altares de
madera dorada que representan angelitos y santos.
Es una ciudad elegante donde se respira una aire de
paz y buen vivir con una excelente cocina. El museo
Cassinelli exhibe una imponente colección de vasijas
Moche caracterizadas por la perfección de los rostros.

la Luna and the Huaca del Sol (which has not been
explored yet), imposing adobe pyramids of the ancient
city of Moche or Mochica, a culture that flourished

still retain their colors. The unsuspecting beauty of the
vases that represent human and animal faces in a

The city of Trujillo was another great discovery,
with its elegant, colorful buildings which delineate the
beautiful Arms plaza. We walked through the streets to
admire the colonial houseswith their highwindows set
with bars, and its fabulous patios; its churches fur-
nished with golden wood altars that represent angels
and saints. It is an elegant city where one can breathe
peaceful air, and live with excellent cuisine. The Cassi-
nellimuseumexhibits an imposing collection ofMoche
vases characterizedby the perfectionof its faces.
