Un buen diseño es siempre el resultado de una
estrecha colaboración entre el diseñador y su cliente.
En el caso de Musashi, los participantes formaron un
equipo de ensueño , según Sander Sinot :
“Considero que es un honor y un privilegio haber
tenido la oportunidad de crear un yate tan especial
como Musashi . Un proyecto como éste sólo puede
tener éxito si se trabaja con el mejor equipo y todo el
mundo da su máximo. Por ello quiero expresar mi agra-
decimiento a todos los que contribuyeron al éxito de
este desafiante proyecto. Fue un verdadero placer tra-
bajar en estrecha colaboración con el dueño, que tiene
una amplia experiencia en el campo de la navegación a
vela y un ojo agudo para el detalle y la estética .
Tuvimos acceso a los mejores profesionales y por
lo tanto fueron capaces de crear los resultados ex-
cepcionales que se reflejan en el diseño final del Mu-
sashi. En especial, quiero dar las gracias al capitán de
construcción Robin Barnes y Henk de Vries, director
general de Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw. Duran-
te nuestra estrecha colaboración siempre tuvo como
objetivo lograr los mejores resultados. Sinot Yacht
Design ha tenido el privilegio de participar en el pro-
ceso de diseño interior y exterior. Sinot y de Voogt
Naval Architects diseñó el elegante exterior. Ade-
más, Musashi resultó una obra maestra estética, De
Voogt también creó uno de los yates de mayor ren-
dimiento imaginable. A lo largo del proceso de dise-
ño, el cuál recae en el estilo japonés y Art Deco, que
se tradujo en un estilo refrescante, con referencias
histórico-culturales fuertes. Esto ha resultado en
divisiones superficiales claras, formas geométricas
rigurosas, junto con una gran cantidad de espacios,
grandes pisos abiertos y luz.

A good design is always the result of close co-
operation between the designer and his client. In
the case of the Musashi, those involved formed a
dream team, according to Sander Sinot:

gives it their all. This is why I want to express my

success of this challenging project. It was a real
pleasure to work in close cooperation with the own-
er who has a wide experience in the field of yachting
and a sharp eye for detail and esthetics.
We had access to the very best professionals
out there and were thus able to create the excep-
tional results which are reflected in the Musashi’s
final design. I would especially like to thank the
building captain Robin Barnes and Henk de Vries,
CEO of Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw. During
our close cooperation we always aimed to achieve
the best results. Sinot Yacht Design had the privi-
lege of being involved in the interior and exterior
design process. Sinot and De Voogt Naval Archi-
tects designed the elegant exterior. Besides the
Musashi resulted in an esthetic masterpiece, De
Voogt also created one of the highest-performing
yachts imaginable. Throughout the design process
wedrewinspirationfromJapanesedesignandArtDeco,
which resulted in a refreshing stylewith strong cultur-
al-historical references. This has resulted in clear
surface divisions, rigorous geometrical forms,
combined with an abundance of light and large,
open-plan spaces.
