ejemos que el tiempo y las maravillas que este
mundo tiene que ofrecer nos deje volar sobre
las montañas de Nairobi, el Masai Mara, y el Rift.
Que el viento nos deje en tierras lejanas y se respire un
aire diferente. Encontramos mañanas coloreadas por
el sol, y brumas que llenan de promesa el alma. Si nos
quedamos quietos y disfrutamos de Kenia en todo su
esplendor, ella será amable con nosotros y nos mos-
trará todo lo que tiene que ofrecer. Cuando ella habla-
ba como la lluvia el tiempo no transcurría en su hogar
de Nairobi. Allí, en aquella sencilla y maravillosa casa
de un piso, encontró a la mujer que quería ser. Apren-
dió a amar y ser amada, a dejar su imaginación volar,
y a llenar a los lectores de mitológicas criaturas y cir-
cunstancias insólitas. Creo en su mente escenarios que
pocos nos atrevemos a soñar e hizo a África suya, para
que África, le devolviese el favor haciéndola de ella. Una
mujer trascendental, única y valiente.
L
et’s allow time and the wonders this world
has to offer transport us over the Nairobi
mountains, passing the Masai Mara, and the
Rift. May thewind put us down in faraway lands and
allows us to breath a different air. We find amorning
colored by the sun, and the mist fills the soul with
promise. If we stay still and enjoy Kenya in all its
splendor, it will be kind with us and show us every-
thing it has to offer. When she spoke like rain, time
didn’t pass in her house at Nairobi. There, in that
simple and wonderful house, she found the woman
she wanted to be. Learnt to love, and be loved, let
her imagination fly, and fill her readers with myth-
ological creatures, under unheard circumstances,
she created scenarios in her mind that very few of
us would dare to imagine, making Africa her own,
so Africa would return the favor, making it hers. A
transcendental woman, unique and brave.
