El palacio subterráneo
El Metro de Moscú, transporte inspirado en la vida,
es arquitectura orgánica, dice una de las creadoras.
En la década de los 30 del siglo XX, cuando este sis-
tema ya existía en Londres, Nueva York, Budapest,
Viena y París, se discutía en Moscú sobre la natura-
leza de la obra, su significado social y su caracte-
rística como medio de transporte, partiendo de la
imaginación creativa.
Más de 30 mil seres humanos participaron en su
construcción. Cuenta con 172 estaciones en 12 líneas
que recorren casi 280 kilómetros. En un día se mueven
9 millones de pasajeros. Es el punto de convergencia
de ingeniería, arquitectura y artes visuales, es refugio
antiatómico en caso de bombardeos.
