na visita a Abu Dhabi debe empezar en el hermoso
HeritageVillage, con vista hacia Corniche, cerca de
las rompeolas de Abu Dhabi, a corta distancia del
imponenteMarina Mall.
Los viajeros tendrán la oportunidad de ver cómo era la
vida como Beduino de Abu Dhabi al admirar la recons-
trucción de su tradicional campamento en el desierto,
incluyendo un espacio en donde residen cabras, y un
pequeño campamento donde se sirve café Arabe. El
HeritageVillage también es una reconstrucción de los vie-
jos sistemas de irrigación, casas hechas de adobe, viejos
pueblos construidos por pescadores, y
suoqs
(bazares).
Curiosamente, el HeritageVillage alberga talleres simu-
lados en donde se trabaja el metal, la alfarería y tejeduría,
en donde artesanos permiten a los visitantes formar parte
de estas actividades. Una tienda de especias dentro del
HeritageVillage estimula los sentidos de los viajeros, que
podrán adquirir recordatorios del viaje dentro una pequeña
boutique que se encuentra a un lado. Un pequeño museo
en donde se presentan joyas preciosas, armas antiguas y
herramientas parahacercafé,entreotros,completanlavisita.
A
visit to Abu Dhabi is incomplete without
dropping by the charming Heritage Village,
which overlooks the Corniche, near Abu
Dhabi’s breakwater and a short distance away from
the imposing Marina Mall.
Visitors get a whiff of what life was like for Abu
Dhabi’s Bedouin by viewing a reconstruction of
their traditional desert encampment, where goats
roam, and coffee roasts on a fireplace. The Heritage
Village also features a reconstruction of the old well
and irrigation system, mud-brick houses, old fish-
ing villages and suoqs (bazaars).
Curiosly, the Heritage Village features several
workshops where metal work, pottery and weaving is
done, and where craftsmen occasionally let visitors try
their hand on such skills. A spice shop within the Heri-
tage Village treats the visitor’s culinary senses and a
smallsouveniralsoshopsellshandicraftitems.A mini-
museum featuring artifacts such as jewelry, weap-
ons and coffee pots, amongst others, rounds up the
HeritageVillage experience.
