l Goring Hotel ha sido operado por cuatro
generaciones de una sola familia. En 1910 lo
inició O. R. Goring y hoy lo dirige su bisnieto
Jeremy. Con motivo del centenario del hotel en 2010,
Jeremy Goring ordenó trabajos de restauración.

The Goring Hotel fue diseñado por el afamado arqui-
tecto John Evelyn Trollope, quien creó un suave y rico ba-
rroco eduardiano. En los jardines hay una estatua a escala
natural de O. R. Goring para dar la bienvenida a los hués-
pedes; por las mañanas se le coloca una flor fresca en la
solapa, los 365 días del año. Detalles como éstos dan dis-
tinción a este insigne hotel, lomismo que la atención que
brinda su personal.
Los tapices que lucen las paredes son de la histórica
fábrica Gainsborough Silks, que cuenta con Certificado
Real otorgado por la Reina Isabel. Los interiores son el
epítome del estilo inglés. Cada cuarto y suite tiene deco-
ración y mobiliario diferente en el Goring, pero todos son
espaciosos, suntuosamente amueblados. El cuidado y la
atención que se da a los interiores es constante; el Dining
Room fue transformado por David Linley en 2005 y las
mejores suites son obra de Nina Campbell, Tim Gosling y
Russell Sage; este último creó The Royal Suite en 2011.
The Goring Hotel
T
he Goring Hotel has been operated by four
generations of one family. In 1910, he began
O. R. Goring began operations and today, it is
run by his grandson Jeremy. To mark the century of
the hotel in 2010, Jeremy Goring ordered some resto-
ration work. “I wanted the hotel to show its best for
the next hundred years.”
The Goring Hotel was designed by famed archi-
tect John Evelyn Trollope, who created a soft, rich
Edwardian Baroque style. In the gardens, a full
scale statue of O. R. Goring welcomes the guests,
and every morning, it gets a fresh flower for his
lapel, 365 days of the year. Details like these give
distinction to this illustrious hotel, as well as the
care provided by the staff.
The tapestry on the walls are from the historic
Gainsborough Silks factory, with the Royal Certificate
awarded by Queen Elizabeth. The interiors are the epit-
ome of English style. Each roomand suite at the Goring
are furnished and decorated differently, they all are
spacious, luxuriously furnished. The care andattention
given to the interior is constant, the Dining Roomwas
transformedbyDavidLinleyin2005andthebestsuites
are the works by Nina Campbell, Tim Gosling and Rus-
sell Sage, the latter designedTheRoyal Suite in2011.
